After 11 years in the design, construction and operation of
petrochemical plants, offshore platforms, power plants and waste
treatment facilities, Ed has devoted 17 years to entrepreneurial
enterprises, notably in enterprise consulting, enterprise software and
media. He was the founder, CEO or managing partner of four successful
high-growth companies, which netted his investors many times their
invested capital. Ed worked for several years at both Austin Ventures
and Koch Ventures before joining Murphree Venture Partners in 2003.
A
multi-faceted man, Ed has practiced martial arts for more than 37 years
and is a master teacher at the Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship, where he
has been selected “Teacher of the Year” on two different occasions. Ed
received both his bachelors and masters degrees in chemical engineering
from Rice University. He serves on the board of MVP portfolio companies
Accellos, Infrastruct Security and Anark.
